One Run for Boston

The first coast-to-coast relay across America. A 3,328 mile run, that raised $550,000 for those affected by the Boston Marathon bombings.

On July 1st 2013, One Run For Boston made running history by becoming the first ever non-stop relay to run across America from Los Angeles to Boston. It raised over $90,000 for the victims of the Boston Marathon bombings in the process.

In April 2014, the team set off on another non-stop, coast-to-coast relay across the USA, this time raising $455,089.

As a result, One Run founders Danny and Jamie have been honoured in the BAA (Boston Athletic Association) marathon exhibit, voted as Runners World "Heroes of Running" for 2013 and featured in the book "Not All Superheroes Wear Capes".

“One Run made me realise just how powerful a group of positive people can be, and how positive energy is really and truly contagious.”

Thank you for showing the world that something as simple as putting one foot in front of the other will help get us past crisis and towards promise and hope for those affected by the Boston bombings.
